Collecting and admiring figurines are among our interests, at least for me and Mr. All Talk. At Rilex-lah, under the ‘BIG BOY STUFFS’ category, readers with the same passion can find articles and posts where we talk and discuss about some of the coolest toys or collectible figurines that are being announced or currently available in the market, mainly the products by HOT TOYS. For those of you who don’t know, Hot Toys is currently the leading production house for designing, developing and producing highly detailed 1:6 scale collectible merchandise based in Hong Kong.

So, you know how people are excited for the new things to come during the beginning of the year, right? A few days ago, at 12 midnight, while many were out counting down and celebrating the New Year (or perhaps some of you were already in dreamland by then), Hot Toys surprised admins with an announcement post which we never would’ve expected. It thrilled us to see the announcement of the first 1:6 scale figurine model for 2020. This is none other than the CAPTAIN AMERICA (2012 VERSION), as seen in the number 1 box office movie, AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019).

“I can do this all day.” – Captain America, AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019)

After the events of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018), Thanos’ snap had resulted in the decimation of half the population of the entire universe. Everyone lost someone. Friends, family, loved ones…

When an opportunity presented itself, the Avengers devised a plan to go back in time to retrieve the Infinity Stones which serve as the keys to undo the decimation. Splitting into three teams, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant-Man and Hulk were tasked to go back to 2012, right in the midst of the Battle of New York where the original Avengers assembled for the first time. During the mission, Steve Rogers wore his first Avengers costume to avoid being too conspicuous in the timeline, with the intention of stealthily infiltrate and steal the Mind Stone housed inside a Sceptre.

The mission went on as planned. However, while he was successful in retrieving the Sceptre, Steve Rogers came face to face with his 2012 counterpart which misinterpreted him as a Loki in disguised. Both Captains had a brief but intense brawl against one another until the time traveller Cap emerged as the victor.
