When Sony’s all-female reboot of Ghostbusters (2016) failed to perform in box office, we thought that the Ghostbusters franchise is done and a sequel would most likely not see the light of day. Well, guess what? The Ghostbusters are back for another reboot, this time it serves as a direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters movies (1984, 1989).
In GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE, a single mother and her two children moved to their late grandfather’s property in Summerville, Oklahoma. When the peaceful town started experiencing a series of mysterious earthquakes, the children begin to discover the root that links their family to original Ghostbusters and step in to revive the legacy of their grandfather. Starring Mckenna Grace (Terminator: Dark Fate), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Carrie Coon (Avengers: Infinity War) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man). This is also the first Ghostbusters movie in 31 years to feature the return of the original casts like Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. GHOSTBUSTER: AFTERLIFE opens in cinemas 9th July 2020.
